This note aims to provide those working in the humanitarian space with a clear understanding of the insurance placement process. It will be most useful to humanitarian organizations actively exploring purchase of an insurance product or early in the process of placing one, and to the donors and advisors supporting them. For these groups, it offers a realistic, experience-grounded guide to the placement process.
